What the assistant is designed to do
- Read relevant school emails and newsletters from an authorized Gmail account.
- Use AI to identify relevant information and actionable dates, preserving uncertainty for review.
- Prepare calendar changes for approval and limit writes to the household’s designated calendars.
- Deliver concise school reminders and scheduled chore messages to designated Slack channels.
Built around family control
Gmail access is read-only. Calendar changes require approval. The assistant is designed to avoid duplicate events and messages, and to ask when details are ambiguous. It does not use points, streaks, or repeated chore nagging.
